Who Knew A Parade = Circus Side Show?

After baking cookies, playing in leaves, and picking up colds from one of those restraurant petrie dish playlands we roamed the streets of Little Rock lookin’ for trouble. When we pulled in behind an empty Santa float I yelled “Follow that float!”  And we did. Right to the site of a parade. That we then waited 45 minutes to start. In a van. With 5 small wiggly fussy children. It did not disappoint.

There was other insanity, as well.  Racing camels on four wheelers, VW bugs with passengers that fit the stereotype  a little too well, giant ducks, funny bikes, frightening mock-ups of our Savior – in fake blood and near clotheslessness, muppet preachers, and puppies in sweaters.  It was a trip, y’all.

Well uh... I've seen a few Christmas parades.. but never one like that!

I love your presentation - made me laugh! But really... no pictures of the giant ducks!?
  • it was definitely entertaining!

  • I think that marching band played Searcy High in football.

I thought dance squads were embarrassing, but this band and its drum majors took the cake.
  • matt and i exchanged looks - i was worried about the kids, but matt reminded
me that the kids don't really know yet. good grief.
