While going through some older pics (read: sick on the couch months) I found these pictures I had taken of some of the older kids’ accomplishments.
TheOldest built a table on his own awhile back – with scraps from all the loft and bed-building. My future engineer.
I do not advocate starting kids early with school work. Better late than early (I stole that, I think from Brenda, right?!). But ThePrincess has done all of this on her own. Unbelievable. I’m really glad she wasn’t my first – I’d have had really unrealistic expectations of the boys. She found this coloring/activity book and did this completely on her own – just before turning 4. Crazy.
When studying a Bible story the other day, I had the kiddos draw a picture to go along with what we learned. This is TheMiddlest’s version of Moses taking off his shoes by the burning bush and God’s promise to him (and us).

Wow, I am impressed! Those are some talented and smart cookies you have there.
It’s a book you know. I just haven’t read it. Instead I decided I agree with it and talk like I know. I do want to read it though.
Also, have you read this? http://www.amazon.com/Confessions-Slacker-Mom-Muffy-Mead-Ferro/dp/0738209945
It’s certainly not a parenting book, but if you can find it at a library, it’s worth a chuckle!
