my hate is strong

i hate the writer’s strike.

i want to watch my tv.  i want to watch all these rockin’ shows.  instead, there’s nothin’ on the tube.  nothin’.  and even monday night football is through.

i haven’t cared at all about the strike until now.  end it already.  the late nighters shaved their beards and came back without you.  somebody pay them already.

as i tell my kids - be done now.

We really don’t watch a lot of TV, so the strike hasn’t affected us a bit. BUT, I’m a hearing that a lot of people are really sick of this. What exactly do the writers want??? Money??? Come on…

Huh? I have no idea what you are talking about. Of course, I can’t stand TV and watch NOTHING. No, not even the weather or the news. I get that stuff from the paper or the ‘puter.
My hubby likes football but that is over (thank You, Lord!)
Every once in awhile he’ll watch a show about Raymond something, but that’s it at this house.
Now, I do like a good movie once in awhile, but I haven’t heard of any decent ones out lately. I’m waiting for Prince Caspian.

Well, I don’t know if you’ve heard, but the writers and the other side (AMPTP?) have a tentative agreement and the head honchos of the Writer’s Guild are presenting the agreement to the Guild on Saturday. If they vote to accept, then basically it’s over. A lot of the writers have been told to be prepared to return to work Monday if the deal goes through. But not all of the shows will return this season. Most of the new shows will just wait and come back in the fall. The established shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, House, Ugly Betty, etc. will be back in production and be able to produce 4 or 5 shows. Shows like Heroes, Lost, and 24 will be different. I’ve heard Heroes probably won’t come back until next season. 24 has about 8 episodes already, but I think they want to wait until the fall as well. And I guess Lost will just have a short season. I hope this is helpful. My info comes from a combination of TVGuide.com and Eonline.com.
