one of my frequented blogs linked here the other day and i got all inspired to make something other than a quilt. i have never made clothes. except in gifted and talented in the 6th grade - and it was terrible from what i remember. but, like i said, i got inspired. and look what i did!!
notice the buttons up the back…
and here’s the ruffle detail in front at the neckline…
ok, i took one of my old long sleeved button-down shirts. so i spent nothing. and i didn’t have to figure out button holes because the front of my old shirt is the back of her dress. i did it in a few hours and i think she’ll be able to wear it to church sunday. yay, me!! now, i’m ready to make her whole wardrobe!

I just clicked on the “here” to see how that EASY??? shirt was transformed into a dress. ARE YA KIDDING ME? How in the tarnation did you ever do it? I got about half way through reading it and was completly confused! ANY pattern you could buy is at least a thousand times easier than that thing! By the way, I liked yours better. Ann

What can I say? I have a wonderfully creative & talented daughter, but I already knew that. Now you just need a modeling agency to sign up the model! granna
Can I just say that I hate you and your creativeness? No, I don’t, but my goodness! You make me look like…I don’t know who…someone who is NOT creative at all! The dress is adorable! By the way, the fact that you made it in an hour, while caring for four children and a husband, makes it even cooler. Love you!
