We waited until we were sure the bigger kids could handle a bigger pool.  We waited until we were sure we could handle the kids handling a bigger pool.  We waited until we had the money.  We waited until the end of the season clearances.  We waited 2 days after filling it for the rain to stop.  And evidently we waited until global warming corrected itself and the local forecasters could say things like “This has to be record temperatures for Arkansas.”

ok. sorry, just had to chime in. if it makes you feel any better i let my girls splash around in water that will make your toes go numb in about 2 minutes flat. nowadays, in this phase of our existence, very near the north pole, i say power to the water wishing people. if the sun has been sighted within the past week or it’s at least 60 degrees then you just go for it….and then have a nice warm bath. congrats on the cool august!
