(squealing with the excitement of Christmas) Ours is going up next week. I have a couple of posts in my archives about Christmas trees past. Some trees were sadder than others! Last year was the first year I had a half-size "theme-tree" of my very own. It lived beside my bed. :) Oh, and I am very much living in the south! Not too far 'south' and west of you I assume! Anyway, your tree looks gorgeous in that last picture. Anything that was put up joyfully and lights up a room like that can't be all bad! Last year though, I finally relented and let my kids do what they'd always begged to do--decorate the tree. They are certainly old enough. It may have not been the way I would do it, but I learned that it was just one thing more that I did not have to stress over. So I'm letting them do it again this year. I think your tree is beautiful, just because of the memory attached to it. Those pictures are going to spark many smiles and stories when your children are grown.
