As most of you know I have lots of littles around here. But I count the 8 year old and 6 year old as olders (they can do more and be counted on a little more) and I have a 2 year old and a newborn (definitely the littles!), with a 4 year old smack in the middle – she vacillates between being counted as an older and a little – depending on the task (and the day)!
On this particular day I was craving homecooked food (it’s been a long pregnancy of lots of frozen food, ugh). So I started in on my grandmother’s cornbread dressing and sweet potato casserole. Not exactly quick and easy dishes. I try to keep little hands from destroying the rest of the house plus let them “help” – also not easy! This is how I sometimes manage it. I was up to my elbows in mixing bowls and I looked around and realized how ridiculous my kitchen looked. I, of course, snapped a picture.
And if you’re wondering what I did with the older two while I was doing all this… well, I relied on one of my favorite babysitters, of course!

What would we do without that portable baby swing!? We loved that thing!
all those kids on the countertop would FREAK ME OUT!
Video games for a babysitter? Tsk, tsk!
(I’m soooooo just kiding you know.)
This post makes me want to go cook! A good thing, since it’s about that time anyway. And I think we have the exact same cook-stove.
Funny post!
That photo of the finalist in the swing….is that brown, green and has a monkey on it? I think we have that outfit!
