Why is having fun always so much work?? And then make it HOLIDAY fun and it is doubly hard!

What I want to know is…. were there major meltdowns of disappointment on the no-go nights? That's what would happen to us: Major. Meltdowns.

By the grace of God, that's how. I have “whisper times” in my house, to keep my sanity. Winter is the hardest. There are 6 of us in an 1100 sq ft house. And I do truly believe I deal with S.A.D. each year anyway. The sensory issues could be bad, but art/ crafts/ fashion are my “cure,” so to speak.
my husband says I'll be very happy someday when I'm old and deaf, and can just turn the hearing aids down.

Really, it's hard to say anything or even think of what my comment would be when I'm laughing this hard.
Girl, I've been pooped on, thrown up on, spit on, you name it during holiday traditions and trips. It seems that babies always “explode” at the least opportune times.
Amazingly, we always seem to look back fondly and remember the good. Or is it just me, coping through denial??
Btw, my oldest and I also have the sensory issues. I've been known to stick my fingers in my ears and chant to keep from hyperventilating.

yeah, we keep dry milk for a back up and for cooking but still use those WIC
vouchers as often as they hand 'em out!
