Snapshots of Being a Mom

Even when I feel like I’m a monster, I look back through the snapshots on my phone and realize life with me must not be all that bad.  And I’m reminded of a few of the things I’m so very thankful for on this day.

On this Mother’s Day may you also be reminded of all the joy that surrounds you.

Above All

This weekend if you are heavy laden and overwhelmed by your less than perfect parenting (and we are all less, right?)  If you keep hearing “whatever you did for one of the least of these” and it pricks your soul with sadness instead of comfort, may you also remember that like the snow that has covered over many of our lives this week: love covers over a multitude of sins.

If in those quiet dark moments of regret for gentlenesses missed, angry words spoken, frustrations sighed aloud, may I request of you that you pray this verse over yourself and your sweet babies.

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.  -  1 Peter 4:8

That you may also remember the first few words of that same verse.  For I know, that in the midst of our parenting sins, we do love those children deeply.  May you embrace all of his Word.  His grace and mercy and not just the judgement you so acutely feel.  And may you find the comfort that He offers.

18 “Come now, let us settle the matter,”
says the LORD.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.

-Isaiah 1:18

May Your Weekend Be Just As Busy

Happy 4th!

May Your Holiday Be…

Full of that summertime timelessness.
