Rope horsies midday?

Patch up your squabbles long enough to cuddle?

Dance with the water no matter who’s watching?

Or day dream about what could be?

Maybe today is the day you embrace what could be instead of what should be.

In the midst of the “I didn’t get my way” fits…

and the waiting too long in the heat and mosquito and nose picking frustrations…

in the midst of the red, white, and blue sweet moments…

and the even sweeter red, white, and blue moments…

may you find the patience,

and joy,

and tolerance,

and exuberance,

to wait…

for that one beautiful moment…

that makes it all worth it.  And may you celebrate it!

I went grocery shopping today.  And though this post by Kristin encouraged me to look at grocery shopping with a plethora of kids differently, I was defeated this time by the price of healthy groceries.

However, I did spend non-essential money on a 4 pack of playdough and the 96 crayon pack instead of the usual little packs we live off of for a year from the before-school sales.  Can I tell you how much joy those 2 little purchases just brought my children.

My 4 year old asked on the way to town today if those “clotheslines had ‘lectricity” in them.  Referring to the electric lines.  So sweet!

Did you know you can take fiber pills to offset the dietary changes you make when eating a little better, but still not eating all that roughage that you should be eating as well?  Did you know if you take said fiber pills with a large glass of milk each day you will be negating the effects of the fiber?  That’s enough about that, m’kay?

MyMiddlest asked me today in the store how people meet other people when they want to get married, if they just look around at people at the grocery store and pick them out.  I laughed, hugged him, and actually took the opportunity to explain usually you marry who you already know, so it’s so important to be careful who you spend your time with.

I get my hair cut tonight and I’m beyond excited!  What can I say, I’m easy to entertain!  Happy Friday, friends!
