I have these 3 friends, see. Who decided even though we had 5 other children that this new one needed a Baby Shower all her own. I couldn’t believe their level of showering. Unreal. Boy, were we showered.
That’s the 3 friends with me there. Angela, Mary, and Andrea. I’m tellin’ ya, they went all out.
And since it was a 10am-12pm shower they served pancakes with tons of fun fixin’s. How cool is that? (Plus, we all know I hate cake so it was even better for me!)
There was even a bowl of chocolate chips. Totally cracked me up!
I loved how I got an enigmatic text a couple of days before from one of the hostesses that said, “And do you drink your sweet tea out of a mason jar like a good southern girl? :)” To which I simply replied, “But of course.” And she only came back with, “Excellent! I suspected as much :)”
When I arrived it all made sense.
Friends came from all over and some of them I hadn’t even seen in years and years and years.
There were gifts galore for Baby Girl, some for the other kids, and even a bag of chocolate chips for me. I see a trend!
We agreed ahead of time that we wanted a laid back, family friendly baby shower. Where husbands, kids, and babies were more than welcome. Because, really, isn’t that what we’re all about anyway?
We have continued to be showered with more baby clothes, dinner, a belly cast (that I better hurry up and use!), a bassinet/play pen, a diaper bag, and more diapers. Oh y’all. I’m so humbled. So undeserving. So blessed!!
