This weekend in Hot Springs is a Legends Hot Air Balloon Rally. On a whim, at the last minute we decided to go. My kids said it was “the best day ever”.
The kids loved being so close to them. Tomorrow they have a full kids’ day and activities planned, plus a concession stand and free concert. We just made it for the balloons tonight. And after the hot air balloon race that starts promptly at 5:30pm they have a Balloon Glow starting at 7pm.
We learned more about how hot air balloons work than we ever knew before.
My sister and sweet niece showed up on a whim too.
We had friends that met us there.
But with the flurry of activity, we somehow didn’t get very good pictures together. And my other friend, who incidentally gave me the heads up on this event, got left out of our pictures all together. Very, very sorry, Mandy, good grief.
They count down to the balloon glow over the intercom for all the kids to join in. Much fun and absolutely stunning.
And with my husband at the camera helm even the airport control tower was beautiful.
