Since not having satellite tv (and the marvelous dvr that comes with it) I’ve noticed a few things:
1. My children actually do have imaginations and indeed know how to use them.
2. I wonder frequently ”Are the days really this long?”
3. I hate being told when I can take a potty break vs. my convenient pause button action.
4. When faced with the options of tv shows at my viewing discretion or on the networks time schedule I will choose no shows.
5. After watching an entire local newscast last night I realized it was the most ludicrous 30 minutes I’ve spent in a long time.
6. I don’t miss the endless stupid mindless shows that my kids watched.
7. I do, however, miss all the endless stupid mindless shows that I watched.
8. I do really like being free of one more monthly bill and the chains of dealing with their “customer service” insanity.
