These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things

I love how the picture of TheOldest and TheMiddlest (when I was very early pregnant with ThePrincess) looks like they’re looking at the tree.  I love how before we got the tree put up ThePrincess drew a picture of a Christmas tree and taped it to the wall where she thought the actual tree should go.  I love how MyOldest, last year, made paper ornaments and that we saved them for this year – he even made the hangers out of paper.  I love how my daughter used her Nana and Papa money to purchase, not a toy for herself, but a $2 HUGE pink plastic ornament that she wanted at the top of the tree.  I love how we have a 3 foot piece of tinsel that the kids love and that I just left right where they put it.  I love how we have white lights AND colored lights.  Boring goes to the circus.  I love how my aunt has sent a Christmas ornament for every child every year since the first was born – how they are themed each year and growing in number.  I love you can see the “Joy”ornament from here.  The embodiment of my life – this tree is absolutely joyfully chaotic.  What does your tree say about you?

That's lovely! We will put our tree up on Christmas Eve, and I'm sure mine will be just as chaotic. ;-) I generally am busy with babies/toddlers, so the bigger kids do all the decorating. I leave it where they put it!

Christmas Eve? Where does that come from? Did you do that growing up? How
long do you leave it up then? Interesting.

Love how the kids help, mine do too and then they rearrange and add their own creations to it. Such a homey feeling.
