So, Wednesday was another check-up. All’s well. I am positive for Group B Strep again. Which is kind of a bummer, but not devastating. Please pray for TheFinalist – that he will be healthy at birth. All my vitals look good though and no change from last week. After a very robust start on my weight gain and what I thought would continue throughout the pregnancy has actually turned tide and I have to make sure I’m getting enough calories and eating healthy. I know, right, don’t hate me, I’ve NEVER had this problem since I was, like, 10. But I’m so sick so often that I rarely want to eat. Nothing sounds good and everything makes me ill. It’s a different kind of problem to have. But we’re cruising along fine, I have no excess fat around my belly anymore (wow, really?, never had that happen before), and the baby is doing well – so I’ll just consider it a jump start on the losing process after he’s here. Now, if I can just maintain the weight loss once he comes, that will be the kicker.
Sunday will be 37 weeks. That’s a milestone that I’m always happy to hit. A definite beginning of the end. That means 3 weeks – tops. Unbelievable. The house is coming together (thanks to my sweet friend and amazing hubby) - because you know, in order to have a baby you must turn your entire house upside down and then reorganize it all while you can’t physically do any of those things and while grouchily telling everyone else to make it happen. And then crying. Just for the drama of it. Right? That’s how getting ready for a baby works, right? Even your fifth when you should know better. But, listen. Shh. Don’t you hear it? I do, it’s the clock ticking audibly in my ears. Much like Silar. And it makes me about as psycho. Just to warn you.
By the way, my newest child still doesn’t have a middle name. My husband says we can call him anything we want but we’re writing on the birth certificate “Parker Parker Parker”. Please help us with a middle name.
And now for your weekend wish:
May all the moments of it be just as tender as the kiss that followed.
