i walked outside to take the update picture and realized my rotting pumpkin had escaped from the porch. the boys were playing soccer with it in the yard. so i figured we had somehow lost the integrity of the experiment. and when they asked if they could chunk it into the woods i said, “sure, why not.” farewell, batman jack o’lantern. thanks for the good times.
