as i dressed my youngest this morning i remembered what i’ve done with each of my winter crawler babies and thought i’d share. if you’ve had ‘em this age at this time of year you’ll probably remember that it isn’t easy keeping them warm and still allowing for movement. they kick their socks off. have a hard time stayng on their feet and cruising in socks. they need pants to be warm (and they help pad those little knees.) however, footed jammies usually end up getting their feet all tangled up inside of them like snakes in a sack and i’m just not fond of rubber bands around their ankles. and even those with elastic didn’t help my little ones much. so, i started putting them in footed jammies and then putting sweat pants over them. they’re warm and covered and their legs and feetsies stay put. not the best fashion sense, but who cares when you’re just playing around the house.
