WE GOT IT! WE GOT IT! WE GOT IT!
almost 8 years of marriage and we own our home!! it makes me cry just typing it!
we took our first load yesterday - in the corolla! and my honey is at this very moment at walmart getting stuff to fix stuff and i’ll be loading the corolla for load number 2!
the payments are less than we pay for rent and it’s beautiful. did i mention it’s ours?
soo… the next item of business… when are you people coming for a pre-baby post house-buying party at the parkers? you better hurry - baby’s on the countdown! and it has to be a potluck because i can’t bring myself to cook for my kids, much less anybody else! (and if you bring enough for left-overs i might could just freeze the food and actually have meals post-baby! - this party thing is sounding better by the minute!) holler at me - i really do want to have everybody over (you know, as easy as that is for everybody!). just let me know.
and by the way, did i mention i’m a homeowner?

36 weeks today. i don’t know what i wrote last week and i’m too lazy to go back and check so, if you’ve heard it before, sorry! he has dropped, dramatically. not sure you can see that here. i figured out that was the cause of the back pain last week, not a pulled muscle. i don’t think the engagement has ever had this much effect on my body. good grief! but it brings me a little closer to holding him. speaking of…
all apprehensions are gone. it’s amazing how God works that out everytime. by the time you get tothe end you’re just ready for him to be a part of your life. and i’m ready for that. now, don’t get me wrong, i’m not to the ready to be done phase! that’s still to come. i’m sure not having a home for sure and a place to lay him has a little to do with that! i want him to stay a little longer and make sure that everybody is as ready as they can be - most importantly him!
next week is the next doctor’s appointment. that will start my weekly checks. and i’ll preregister and set up a tour of the hospital for the kiddos at that same time. good stuff!
tied into all this…
we’re still supposed to close on the house on friday at 2pm. as in day after tomorrow. that’s really hard for me to believe. i’m still holding my breath. and haven’t packed one item. but i’m not really planning to “pack”. we condensed so much and aren’t going very far - i imagine we’ll do a lot of throwing stuff in the back of the corolla and runnin’ back and forth. there is a chance we could sleep in our very own house by the end of the weekend. that is really surreal. keep praying!

somebody let matt borrow this from work over the weekend. he watched most of it with the boys while i worked around the house and then i agreed to watch it because heck, i like most football movies i’ve seen.
wow.
ok, the acting’s bad. kinda like watching a high school stage performance. but eventually you get wrapped up in the plot enough that it doesn’t matter anymore. it’s a feel-good movie that you can watch with your kids. including ones like mine that are 3 and 5. my oldest was engrossed. and asked a million questions - which is great with this movie - i want him to absorb as much as he can from this movie. and it’s great when he can see people praying and prayers denied and answered places other than at home. it validates to a little brain what we’re teaching. and it was “boy” enough that he loved all the football scenes. and for my “girl” heart it was great to cry and feel so good afterward. there’s so much teaching - husband-wife relationships, endurance, love of children, children honoring parents, praising God when you’re down, mentoring, giving anonymously, and on and on.
we’ll own it. and watch it often.

check out my archives over there on the left! my hubby lent me a hand last night and we got all of my old posts here! yea! so now my blog is completely self-sufficient! and it’s been fun for me to go back over some of the last year and see where all God has taken me in this 365 days. it’s always an adventure - and i can’t wait for more!

frequently heard from this sweetheart:
“pretty mama.”
“i love you mama.”
“i want to cuddle with you.”
“good mama.”
“kiss?”
