Getting My Ducks All In A Row

Make Way For Ducklings  by Robert McClosky

our second week in Five In A Row is complete.  and what fun it was!

we made ducky projects to start the week out.  i love seeing how my middlest’s personality is coming out in his art work now.  it’s as much fun as it was when my oldest just got started creating things.  and they’re work is so THEM!

and then we finished up the week with a field trip to the Peabody hotel in Little Rock to see the famous ducks parade down to their fountain.  of course, the viewing of the ducks wouldn’t be complete without a complete fit by my 20 month old in the middle of the presentation.  and i realized i had moved from freakin’-out-first-time-paranoid-mom to a mother of 3 1/2 when in the midst of the fit and uppity stares from everyone, i was snapping pics and laughing out loud at her.  when i used to wonder how moms of so many kids did it, i think i now know.  they laugh. a lot.  and ignore everybody else.  and look as crazy as a betsy-bug!

 what an awesome day!

I haven’t gotten to the laughing point yet and mine are 5,6 and about to be 10.When they throw a fit,I am still embarrassed and irritated……but I will take a que from you next time.:).Still loving hearing about the homeschooling-we are tossing the idea around.Especially after an episode we had recently where kids thought Kyla’s clothes were “yucky” and we had to buy her a whole new wardrobe,so she would not come home crying every day.

reminds me of carolyn noble…once adelyn ran out in the yard naked and started washing her hair in mud. you KNOW what carolyn did! camera first, fix the problem later.

it is wonderful to laugh, especially at awkward moments! :)

ah man i wanna go! lol Looks like you guys had a great trip! That pic of Gracie cracked me up! K.T…. remember that at 20 months fits can be absolutely HILARIOUS.. but once they get to be about 3,4, and 5yrs old.. the cuteness has totally worn off! lol I still laugh at Carter though when he throws fits sometimes.. maybe b/c it’s rare he does.. and he’s so whiney it’s just hard to take him seriously! I love the boys’ ducks! WAY CUTE!! Look at what an awesome job Noah did! Man he’s really keeping up with big brother isn’t he? Fantastic!!
