at the risk of sounding gripey, i’ll take my chances…

they’re all sick. all 3. right now. i need to believe that having all 3 sick at the same time is better than having one sick at a time for weeks on end. no sleep. that’s what i get. and have i mentioned before that my girl’s mechanism for dealing with everything unpleasant is to puke? and further – medicaid, with NO notice, cancelled our whole family – due to THEIR paperwork error – back in NOVEMBER! i just found this out 2 weeks ago and have been working on it ever since, still no new numbers yet. sooo, i can’t just take them to the doctor tomorrow, because they don’t want to see us without a number. and can i just tell you i almost went “falling down” on the medicaid office this week. i had to remind myself that the woman i was dealing with was the only “advocate” i had to actually getting new numbers and that my very impressionable small children were scrutinizing my every move.

i’ve tried perspective, and i can’t get it through the foggy haze of no sleep…

I’m sorry that everyone is sick, but I know what you mean. The flu has managed to bombard it’s way through the Montgomery family, quite rapidly, I might add. Everyone is well now, and here’s a hint that may work for you, I have the boys pray for each other. Their faith is so much stronger than ours.

Oh girl I’m sorry for ya! Call me again if you need! lol Between Carter and Gracie, I think you and I are fed up with puke! I’ll also add that now Clayton and I are feeling a bit under the weather.. dear God please let this NOT be the flu! Medicaid is a pain in the rear… I hope you can get that settled soon! It’s hard to understand how they can screw up soo much on the MAIN JOB they do! lol Hugs girl!! If I was closer I’d bring you a Hershey bar for old time’s sake ;)

Hey, has Medicaid just not given you new numbers? Have you tried having the doctor’s office run the kids? A lot of times they will actually be in the system before Medicaid gets around to sending out the new numbers..they just need the kids name, social security number, and date of birth to run them on the website. If there is still no number you can get a letter from the Medicaid office stating that they will be reinstated and still see the doctor as Medicaid will pay all bills within 90 days of reinstatement. Let me know if I can help, this is actually what I do for a living!

beck, thanks for the help. i talked to my case worker yesterday and i actually think she hasn’t gotten around to entering any of our info or working on it at all! but if this drags out, i’ll be doing the letter thing for sure. and calling you for more info.
