it’s so good to be sitting in front of this ‘puter doin’ somethin’ other than playin’ mahjongg. don’t get me wrong, it’s a fine game, just gettin’ a little old. so, i’ll start spreadin’ the word that i’m back and those of y’all that get word – pass word!
here’s my first confession: i haven’t read any of y’all’s blogs yet. this is the first place i came (of course, after reapplying for usernames and passwords – 5 months of absence combined with pregnant brain – info gone from my mind!) i will try to get caught up a little at a time very soon! i can’t wait!
a few things have changed since i was here last. i’ll give you the very brief rundown of changes and will elaborate on those of any interest to inquiring minds.
*we’ve settled into the 2 bedroom duplex. it’s clean (except for our part), ant and problem free. we’re hot when we wanna be and cold when we wanna be. heaven in a nutshell.
*we had a dream house that was in our price range slip through our fingers. almost completely due to capitol one. this is an interesting story and one i don’t mind smearing a huge company over. however, all things work for good. and we feel like we’re supposed to be right here, right now. so, no complaints. except for the evil empire… that is what’s in your wallet.
*geico saved us 15% or more. no kidding. ;)
*my oldest started kindergarten in august, turned 5 in september, and started homeschooling in october. i’m lovin’ it!
*my middlest is still 3 and sweet as can be. he can now say his j’s and s’s. yes, the passing of an era.
*my girl’s 19 mos (incidentally the same age my oldest was when my second was born – how on earth did i do it?) and tearin’ up jake. wild as a march hare and sweet as cotton candy. talkin’ up a storm.
*i’m 25 weeks preggie (6 mos). next week i go in for the last ultrasound and then begins the 3 week appointments. from the first ultrasound we’re 95% sure we’re havin’ a boy (or peter parker, or parker parker parker- depending on who you talk to!) we’ll let you know for sure when we know for sure. he’s kickin’ like crazy and the kiddos are really excited about a new little brother. i’m tired. and big. and have i mentioned lately this is the last parker baby short of a miracle? oh yeah, i’m not kidding. really. and you know it, cause i’m sayin’ it. and these words have never passed my lips before. i’m thrilled he’s comin’. and i’m thrilled he’s the caboose. my quiver is full, yo.
*we’re hoping the tax return brings with it a minivan, hopefully in february. cause baby’s makin’ his debut in march. it’d be nice to not have to carpool our family :).
is that all? i don’t know. but my brain is tired from homeschooling 2 children, reading winnie the pooh 5 times consecutively, making a trip to walmart alone with 3 littl’uns, being on suicide watch for my toddler (and consequently all of my breakable belongings) and keeping her from killing the cat. so i’ll move on to more mind-numbing things and less interactive things. blog reading, homeschool site perusing, and maybe even some mahjongging!
thanks for stoppin’ by and maybe next time the house’ll be clean, the kids will be well-behaved, and i’ll be well-rested. if not, you know i always have a spot on the couch for ya, some snacks to offer, a listening ear, and hopefully some laughter through it all.
