“which one do you want me to have, the spiderman or the Jesus?” -my middlest boy
this is a snippet from the conversation i overheard the other day from my two boys. about coloring books, for all those wondering. :) but, somehow, i think there’s an application there. it got me thinkin’ (and smilin’) while i was doin’ dishes. it gives me a glimpse into their little brains.
today is my second child’s third birthday. he got his own bedroom last night, for his birthday. he’s so excited! i am too. it’s good to see the kiddos so happy about stuff.
i haven’t been here in a while due to much work. since i’ve been here last, i’ve cleaned out the store room (my middlest’s new room), organized a garage sale, had the garage sale (much fun with amanda and taylee!), painted my oldest’s room, rearranged the living and dining rooms, gotten our fridge from my parents, bought a futon and had it hauled upstairs (thanks honeydo and clayton), had a staff meeting, a children’s ministry meeting (at our house nonetheless), been to 3 t-ball practices, usual church stuff, planned 2 birthday parties and easter surprises, and, drum roll please…. washed and dried my clothes at my own house!!! all this while still carrying on the daily to-dos of a wife, friend, and mom of a 4 yr old, 2 yr old (now 3!), and an 11 month old. did i mention my honey and i have the mega cold?! so if i’ve seemed a little distracted lately, i am. sorry. i’m so ready for the pace to slow a little. i’m loving fixing the house up, but i’d also love to just rest in between daily chores. you know, juggling little ones while trying to paint is a difficult task. but, how great the yellow looks! i think this is all i can manage for now. i’ll maybe have more (and deeper) thoughts later.
so to get back to my son’s question…. which superhero do you want? and why?
